// Higgins Family Photo Session // October 2014

The Higgins family, who attend my church, met me at the Muttart Conservatory last Saturday where we all met for the first time. You see, Daphne Higgins, the cute little blonde girl seen below, has undergone some serious medical procedures in her young life. Three years ago Daphne had to have a liver transplant. Please take a moment to read her story. Working in the church office I am aware of a lot of the congregations' prayer needs and life challenges. When Daphne was very sick three years ago, I remember our staff praying over the Higgins family for several months. I would check the blog for updates hoping to see a few photos of her smiling. It's just unbelievable how God has worked in and through the Higgins family.

Rowan and Daphne. They sure love each other!

"Stick out your tongues!" - me

Daphne likes to dance.
I would like to point out the amazing orchid peacock in the background!

On November 22, there are 50 spots available at an Edmonton mobile clinic held at Grace Point Church of God.  Please call 1 888 2 DONATE or use Canadian Blood Services to book your appointment.  For those who are in Edmonton and would like to take part at a more convenient time, there will be a "Donate for Daphne" sign up sheet at Canadian Blood Services main clinic from November 17th to December 17th.  I would also like to encourage friends and family in other provinces to donate at their local clinics, this is a Canada wide shortage.
